Research

I am a PhD student in Chemical Sciences at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, with a strong academic background in biotechnology and a specialized focus on fragrance chemistry. My research bridges synthetic organic chemistry and microbiology, with an emphasis on the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of fragrance compounds - particularly their toxicity, antimicrobial potential, and possible therapeutic uses.

My work combines multi-stage chemical synthesis with biological screening, using both human cell lines and microbial models, to evaluate the functional and sensory properties of novel aromatic molecules. I am especially interested in natural derivatives and analogs of phenolic compounds, and how structural modifications influence their olfactory and bioactive properties.

I was awarded a Minigrant during the 2nd edition of the Doctoral School’s funding program at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, which facilitated the advancement of my independent research in this area.

I am also actively involved in international collaborations, primarily through the Erasmus+ program, conducting short-term research stays at the University of Niš in Serbia, where I’ve expanded my work in aroma chemistry and innovative fragrance design.
